About John Radge

Well I’m a free agent now and currently working on a “Top Secret” project which will be unveiled soon. Previously I have worked in large ICT companies such as Ericsson, Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu, ICL and Mitsui in varying capacities. My most interesting time was when I was playing executive director for Data Infinity group of companies overseeing operations, determining strategy and all those other good things people at the top of software companies do. In the real early days I carried a tool bag maintaining mid-range Unix systems. As time progressed I transitioned into management, gained a heap of perspective there before moving to start and run companies of my own.

Early on in life, prior to IT, I had trained as a Commercial Pilot completing an Instrument Rating and Instructor rating. My flying career commenced as a charter pilot with a major computer company in Sydney. From there I worked as a flight instructor at Sydney’s Bankstown airport for 2 years before venturing to Arnhem land in the Northern Territory working for various companies in a number of positions including charter pilot and Acting Chief Pilot before settling back to Sydney. Six years later I left flying and jumped back into the Information Technology industry. As far as flying is concerned I’m still tinkering round the edges. Recently I was working at Qantas as an Operations Instructor on the 747-400. When demand exists for Qantas to hire new pilots I get called in train new pilots on the 747-400 aircraft.

I have a strong interest in entrepreneurship, business models, innovation and internet technologies.

As for my academic credentials, I hold a MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney as well as a Bachelor of Aviation from University of Western Sydney.

I hope you enjoy this blog!

Cheers,

John
